SongDog’s positive reinforcement based, board and train, obedience and socialization dog training in beautiful Northern Michigan. We offer this program in 2 and 3 week options. Dog training takes place on our 200 acre farm which is a dedicated training facility, plus we venture all around Northern Michigan. Our space has been designed specifically as an enriched environment for training dogs.
Foundation Programs
Building a strong foundation for you and your dog
2 Week Foundation Program
Perfect basic training program for your puppy 20 weeks or under. We will work on basic obedience, impulse control and establishing appropriate behavior.
SongDog Kennels will be developing your dog’s confidence. We will be developing a “learning set” which means, dogs learning how to learn. Jason and Tiffany develop a communication system for you and your dog. Your dog will be socialized with other dogs and will experience a wide range of environmental conditions and challenges which build confidence and facilitates generalization of learning.
Our goal is to build a strong foundation to serve you and your dog for a lifetime. This program includes a Transfer of Training session at the Farm and 6 months of post training consultation. Follow up sessions can be in person here at the Farm or phone, email, facetime.

3 Week Foundation Program
Dog training option for someone who wants a bit more refinement in their dog. This program is for dogs over 20 weeks of age.
While Jason and Tiffany continue the progression of the basic obedience commands, we will also work on loose leash walking, high probability recall and eliminating jumping.
Your dog will come home attentive, organized and calm.
